​​Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Depressed Adolescents by Randy Auerbach

The workshop will provide background on the development and dissemination of CBT for depressed adolescents. Additional aims will be to discuss: (a) setting the stage for psychotherapy (e.g., psychoeducation, collaborative empiricism), (b) organizing session content and structure, (c) working with patients (e.g., developing therapeutic alliances, motivating change), (d) maintaining goals and relapse prevention, (e) addressing comorbidity and suicidality, and (f) including e-based technologies (e.g., CBT apps). Workshop will include didactic lessons and as well as interactive role-play.
